Splashes of summer colour surround guests as they order and if they stop for their lunch at one of the tables in the bistro.  I was honoured to be part of Shirley's vision.

2011 - Wanderings.... Goward House

It is relationships we as humans are so often obsessed with.  In my work, I aim to capture the relationships of not only people and nature, but of movement, light, environment and colour to one another.

My work largely stems from a deep love of the ocean and coastal environment in which I have found myself immersed since the first time I came to Vancouver Island over two decades ago.  I have been taking photographs since I was given my first camera almost thirty years ago and feel blessed by the voice it gives me.

This is the third joint show I have had the honour of sharing with my mother Mary and my second at Goward House.   In the Spring of 2009, I was rudely thrust into the digital age with the death of my beloved Minolta.  Since then, I have attempted to come to terms with the digital image through the lens of my Sony Alpha 350.  This show is collection of some of my favourite images taken since that point and range in location according to my many travels across the country.
